CBD Quality Control - Third Party Lab Testing
We are all entitled to know what we consume and should be able to make an informed decision on what enters our body. However, it is not always so easy to judge when it comes to CBD products. That’s why at Cloud CO. Farms we test every batch produced with an independent 3rd party accredited and certified laboratory for the potency of the product and also any possible contaminants such as pesticides, residual solvents, heavy metals, and microbials. This way you can be assured that there is as much CBD in the product as we say there is and no contaminants of any kind!
What we test for
Dedicated Testing Facilities
Potency
We first test for potency to ascertain the exact amount of cannabinoids in the product. CBD is not the only cannabinoid in cannabis, there are over 100 known cannabinoids in the cannabis plant and a lab test is essential to confirm the level of cannabinoids to determine the potency and confirm the products are below the 0.3% allowed THC levels. Our products are tested for 11 cannabinoids and are true full spectrum products having not just CBD but also THC, CBG, CBC, CBDV, and some CBN. The most effective products are full spectrum and it is essential to have other cannabinoids working synergistically with the CBD in what is known as the “entourage effect” to make the most positive impact on your health.
Pesticides
Pesticides have become common practice in agriculture but not at Cloud CO. Farms. Even ceritified organic products can use pesticides so long as they are organic options. Not here, we use no pesticides, fungicides, or herbicies of any kind or in any amount. We grow healthy plants so that we can have healthy customers!
Residual Solvents
Solvents can be used for extraction of CBD when the plant material is turned into oil. High concentrations of solvents can lead to unpleasant health effects and or result in an unsafe product that could be volatile. We run this test to verify that there are no residual solvents.
Heavy Metals
Microbials
Last but certainly not least we test for a range of microbials including aflatoxin, ochratoxin, listeria, salmonella, STEC, aspergillus, aerobic bacteria, yeast, mold, and total coliform.
