Happy Friday : )
With the cooperation of the weather, we were finally able to harvest the field! Using the swather, the plants were cut and then stacked into wind rows to dry.
Typically the plants will stay in these wind rows 7-10 days. Since the air is so dry in the San Luis Valley, we will monitor them daily to ensure that we combine at the right time; aiming for 10% moisture left in the plants.
That’s all from the farm this week.
Wishing you all a fantastic weekend!
