Did you guess it? Yep, the rain keeps coming!
The precipitation has been welcomed by all out here in the San Luis Valley this year. It has been more rain than we have seen in 10+ years out here in Colorado and the most ever by some locals accounts.
While the plants enjoy it, so do the weeds and it makes it difficult to get in to the field and effectively remove them.
We were able to get through the field with the sweep and complete weeding between the rows.
We were also able to get one day in with the Eco-weeder to get between the plants and then it has been on and off rain since, keeping the ground too wet to get out with the tractor and cultivator.
Rain is in the forecast for the next several days as well so we hope to be able to start up weeding the field again next week when the soil dries down a bit.
